Today is Garth Brooks birthday. I know I am a huge nerd but if you are reading this then you already know that. Garth Brooks is my favorite artist of all. It was the first cd I ever had and I have been obsessed ever since. I have had the priviledge of seeing him in concert three times. One of which I got to shake his hand when I was 8. Every hard day in my life has seemed to get just a little bit easier when I pop in a Garth cd. Another thing about Garth is that he is the reason I ever gave Kade a chance to hang out with me. You ask why? Well I was a huge brat and didn't want to. Then one day Kade asked if I would like to come hang out and watch a Garth concert. He was smart because he knew I couldn't say no to that. So we watched the concert and had a great time. I knew that if I could ever find someone that had the same love for Garth as me then I was set. I found that he loved Garth too and understood me and my obsession. I love cowboys and Kade is a cowboy too. That year Garth had a cd come out and "Wrapped Up In You" was on it and became our song. I even had a line from the song engraved on Kade's wedding ring. When you hear that song now you will have to think of us haha. I have songs with everyone and I would never use a Garth song on someone that I think wouldn't stay in my life because I would never want that to ruin Garth for me. So far no one has let me down. My favorite Garth song is "Standing Outside the Fire" it is on the In Pieces cd and it has been my favorite song since I was ten years old. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it because it has gotten me through some extremely hard times. I also love The Dance, I would like it sung at my funeral. My one and only request for that day. One day I hope to be able to see him with Kade in Vegas. That would be so awesome. Well that is plenty on that subject. Happy Birthday Garth Brooks!!!
