Dreads

My wonderful, fun husband has always wanted dreads so about a month ago his sister, me and his mom put them in for him it took 14 hours!!! Yes you heard that right 14 hours and it was a really long day. He liked them and we did a good job I thought. Well on Sunday he decided he was done with them and as we were brushing them out it was gross! I gotta say I was shocked because he had ordered the kit that was for clean dreads and he washed them but it just didn't really work. We spent about 3 hours Sunday after church doing that. Anyways here is the finished product. His hair grew about an inch in a month I can't believe it! I love you baby and I love that you are who you are :)

My Lovies

Festival of Trees

We went to the Festival of Trees for the first time this year. We had a great time and saw a lot of awesome trees. There were way too many people there though so next year we will have to try going during the day. Mia and Brooks loved seeing all the different kinds of trees. I wish Brooks would hold still long enough for a picture but thats not him he is always going.
I love this Halloween tree, I think its the best idea for a tree ever!
Brooks is really into cars right now and he loved when we got to this tree.
 Go ReAL!
I wish I were crafty or rich either way so I could have this beautiful wreath, I just love it.
 The million of people!
This is my favorite tree by far all made out of soda cans, it was amazing!

FHE

Every Monday we have FHE, we miss having daddy around since he has been working out of town but I don't want the kids to think that we only do it when he is in town so I have made an effort to keep it going. On this particular night the kids wanted to have it in their room. So we sang our song and prayed and then started the lesson. Well during the lesson this is what happened. I know it was very effective as you can tell. I love our kids they are so fun and I am so lucky to have them. Monday's I also make their favorite dinner which is scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast, I know real fancy but they like it and so do I. As you can tell here Mia picked out her jammies for the night. Brooks is such a happy, easy going kid, I love how happy he is sitting in Mia's bed. Thank goodness for Monday nights at our house because Monday's are no fun but I have this to look forward to every week and it makes the day better.

Tree

Thanksgiving weekend we put up the decorations and Mia had a great time. Brooks didn't seem to care too much but we had fun watching her get so excited about everything. Yes she dressed herself this day, she loves her boots. Our tree is just a bunch of random but I love it.

Thanksgiving

We had an awesome Thanksgiving this year. We started the month with an fhe where we said what we were Thankful for, it was so fun. It was kind of a weird year for us. It was Kade's year but his grandparents are on a mission so we didn't do our traditional get together with like 60 people. Instead whoever wanted to come to Kiri's got together then some people did their own thing, and others went to Arizona to see Kade's grandparents. It was so fun to have it at a house (we usually do it at a church) and it felt so much more cozy and like it was when I grew up when my mom used to host it at our house. I absolutely loved every second. We started the day by running a 5K with Kade's cousins who host one every year at Liberty Park and they collect clothes and food and then run around the park a couple of times. The kids did great and Mia ran a lot probably a mile or so. I was so proud of her. Then we got ready and went to Kiri's. I was in charge of the veggie tray which I found on pinterest and made, I also brought a pink lemonade pie, and cranberry sauce. The food was all amazing and I tried it all. Eileen made the best dish hands down though, some kind of yummy green beans with feta and peanut oil, I had three servings so good! We said what we were Thankful for and I was especially thankful for Kade's life this year since it was spared earlier this year. We have had a completely different focus on life since then and it has been wonderful. Then Mia said she was thankful for her family and she brought tears to my eyes cute little girl! We chatted, ate, hung out, laid down, then ate pie. It was great, after that we went to Kacey and Josh's house and watched Breaking Dawn 1 and stayed until 2am it was a blast. Thanks everyone for making it such an awesome Thanksgiving. I did miss my own family and especially my momma's dressing but next year we should hopefully have it :)

Ashley Jo

Ashley Jo turned 21 on November 8 :) Ashley is one of our favorite people. She is one of my best friends, she is my assistant at work and she is a regular baby sitter at our house. We are so blessed to have her in our life because she helps us and saves me on a daily basis. She watches my kids most Tuesdays so I can play soccer since Kade is working out of town right now. We have our "shows" haha and we have so much fun. Thanks for coming into our lives Ash we don't know what we would do without you, oh and we love your husband too!

Halloween 2012

Halloween is my favorite time of year. I love the whole month of October and look forward to it all year long. For a year Mia had told me that she wanted to be a purple witch so she was. Brooksie man was a skeleton. We had our annual Copeland Halloween party where we carved pumpkins and let the kids dress up. Carving pumpkins is my favorite part of Halloween, well cleaning them out I love it. Kade carves them and does an awesome job! We went trick or treating at our friend Kitty's work and then we went to see a few friends and grandma and grandpa. Can't wait for next year. Happy Halloween!
Grandma gave the kids Halloween books, mom was really happy about that.
Mia showing us her purple hair.
