Mia's First Hair Cut

Well after three years Mia finally needed a hair cut. She has really thick, coarse, curly hair and it never needed to be cut. However it was starting to get longer in the middle so after a few tears. (Mia didn't want to cut her hair because she needs Rapunzel hair apparently.) She decided that it would be okay because we told her it would grow long like Rapunzel hair if she cut it, plus Aunt B let her watch Netflix on her phone which she loved. I wanted her hair cut before school started so it would look nice. Her hair looks great and is even more curly. Thanks Aunt B for cutting it for her.

Train

Ever met someone with an above average personality? Well I am lucky enough to have a best friend with one, her name is Abby Wilson. A couple of weeks ago Abby asked if my kids would like to come and ride the train that she was going to be driving around her neighborhood. Of course we did who wouldn't. So we get to the neighborhood party and there was the train and the conductor. Mia was so excited! The kids got to ride in the train 3 different times and loved every second of it. I had to pull a crying Mia away because she wanted to keep riding it. Abby you are an amazing person, thanks for all you do for our kids.

Walker

My little Brooksie man finally decided to start walking. He took his first step on May 18 but then had only taken 5 or 6 at the most until last Wednesday July 11 when he decided that walking was indeed for him. He smiles big when we clap and cheer for him and he just keeps walking. He has already mastered stairs so now he is every where. I love age one it is so fun. I am loving watching my little man grow up. He also has started talking so much the last few weeks, he now says Mia, Mom, Dad, Doggy, bye, night, love you, food, more, please, nana, huny, pappy, grandma, grandpa, milk, etc. Brooks you are such a good little boy and your sister sure does love to hang on you and kiss you. You are very sweet like your daddy and I can't imagine my life without you. I am so glad your dad and I listened to the spirit when he told us you were ready to join our family because you are an amazing addition. I love watching my cute kids play together, they love each other so much. Thank you Brooks for making my life amazing, I love you with all my heart little man.

60!

My dad turned 60 on July 7! I can't believe that. We decided to have a party and it was so fun. Thanks to everyone who came and shared his birthday with him. We had pie and cake because my dad loves pie. Kristen made a bunch of pies and they were amazing. We took pictures from each part of his life and put them on the tables with stars and candy. We had a pretty good turn out. I wish I had taken my camera out sooner but that's ok. We had a great time celebrating my dad's first 60 years! We also had a video made for him and it was a lot of fun to watch. Thanks for being an amazing father, you have always been so encouraging, supportive, and loving towards us, we couldn't ask for anything more. We love you dad!

4th of July

We had a fabulous 4th of July! First we ran the Sandy Classic 5 & 10K, I ran my fastest time yet 37:55 :). We had a fun group, Kade, Weston, Christa, Bryston, Kristen, Ryan, and me. Then we went to breakfast at Denny's (Ry's favorite). After that we headed home to chill, we had a bbq for dinner and then went to watch the Sandy parade. We had a great time at the parade. We headed home after that and put the kids to bed then watched the ReAL game while we waited for the fireworks. At about 10pm they had the Sandy City fireworks and then a few minutes later the Rio Tinto fireworks started and we sat in our driveway and listened to patriotic music which I loved. We watched them with my dad, Sway, and Rachel and had about a 45 minute show. We had a great day together.
Right before we were going to the parade Mia fell off the couch and hit the rocking chair and hit her face. We were so grateful that she didn't split it open.
