8 Years
We love our anniversary and make a big deal about it just cause we can. This year I got to plan and I chose....drum roll a Twilight room haha. We stayed in the Meadow it was beautiful and we had a good time. We went to Rodizio for dinner, we had never been there together. It was really good but we were super full. The next day we "slept" in for us that meant 8am haha we are used to getting up much earlier so it was nice. Kade being the good sport he is even watched Twilight with me, the first one cause its my favorite. After we checked out we went to The Pie, we love that place. I love our time together and we talked about the best thing and worst thing that happened each year in our marriage it was really fun. The only bummer is my favorite jacket that I am wearing in the top picture somehow got lost and I think I left it at the Anniversary Inn but it wasn't there. I have been pretty bummed about it since I lost it. Thanks to Kade's parents for watching our kids, they had a blast!

Thanksgiving 2013
I love Thanksgiving, it was one of my favorites growing up. I loved staying up late the night before helping my mom prepare. She made it most years and she did it all because she is amazing and everything was always perfect. I love her pie, green bean casserole and my absolute favorite is her dressing. I would steal it as she was preparing it because I love it raw or cooked in or out of the turkey it is amazing!!! So when it is my side for Thanksgiving I get extra excited because I know that I am going to get my mom's dressing even if she isn't hosting it because I am spoiled and she brings it for me. This year was no exception and she even left me some raw because she loves me oh so much. We started our day out by running in the human race which was so fun. Mona and I just ran and talked and kept a good but fun pace, and I was able to drag Kade along he is such a good sport. Then we went home and got ready for the day. I wanted to do something special for Kade since it wasn't his year with his family and its always hard to miss out on what they are having that are your favorites so I decided to make his grandma Helen's candied yams. They are out of this world and one of his favorite things. So I made them and they were actually a success :) Then I also made an apple, cranberry crisp that I stole from his cousin Liz a while back that is now a tradition for me to make and take every year, we also made two pies our pink lemonade pie and a berry pie for Ry Guy. Lola and Ryan hosted the dinner and they did an awesome job. Lola made these cute pilgrim faces for the silver wear to go around the napkin, they were adorable. Everyone made amazing food and we all were sick! My mom's boyfriend also announced that they had just gotten engaged and were going to be married in the summer :) Mia really wanted to wear her Indian headband she made at school and her maxi skirt because she wanted to be dressed up, funny girl. Brooks wanted to show us Lightning, he is quite obsessed. Thanks to my amazing family for having such a fun day I love spending time with all of them and we are so lucky to be able to. Thanks to Kade for being so amazing and my beautiful children, I am so blessed.

My Kade
I know this is out of sequence but Kade made me laugh so hard yesterday I just had to share. I have known Kade a long time and lived with him long enough to know his bad habits and sometimes they drive me crazy but yesterday I just laughed and laughed. So we were done watching the Olympics and I walked into the kitchen to finish putting dinner away and I saw three wrappers and a few other pieces of garbage and I looked at him and then looked at the garbage can. He had taken the garbage out but hadn't put a bag back in (he hates to do that) instead of asking me if I would he just left it and I started laughing and said you really would rather just leave garbage on the counter than put a bag in it? He was like you are so much better at it than I am, so I put a bag in and he threw away the garbage. Then we were brushing our teeth and he got done before me and I said can you please lock the back door. Then I finished and I said remember last Thursday when I asked you to before I went to bed (he was staying up to watch something) and you said you would. Well when I woke up at 3am to pee (once a night for my entire life) I checked it and it wasn't locked at all and he kind of chuckled. Then I was getting a drink and I remembered there was a basket of laundry sitting on our bed that I hadn't put away and normally he will just move it to my side and thinks he is funny so I said as I am getting my drink of water will you please just put that basket of clothes on the ground and I will put them away tomorrow? I walk in our room and it is sitting on my side of the bed. I died laughing and he was like you think you know me so well and I said yes I just predicted three things in a row you would do or not do and they were all exactly what you do. Then we are laying there and about five minutes later he says so last week when I didn't lock the door and I went to leave for work that morning and I had to unlock it I thought oh good I did end up locking the door last night. It was hilarious. Then I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Morale of the story...if you can't laugh with the person you love then you are going to have a hard relationship. I love my relationship with Kade, no one understand me better or treats me like a queen. He is an amazing husband and I can't imagine my life with out him. I love that he is such a fun dad and our kids absolutely adore him.
