After my sprint tri I needed something to keep me motivated. I found this 10K online for $20 including a shirt so I decided that I should sign up. I got Brook to sign up with me. It was such a deal. I found an 8 week training and off I went. I really enjoyed this training a lot more than the half marathon training. I think a 10K is just the right distance. I had been running about 11.5-12 minute miles so I was hoping to finish by 1 hour and 12 minutes. We started the race and I was super nervous but I got in my groove and kept going. When I was just about half way Kade was standing there cheering me on. He is my biggest cheerleader and I love that about him. He is so supportive and loves me so much I don't know where I would be without him. I kept running and could see Brook the whole time in front of me. She runs faster than me so I thought if I could keep her in my sight then I might be able to finish in my time. When I got to the sign that said one mile left and I was tired and two older gentlemen passed me. I saw Kade one more time and he told me to go get it so I ran hard and I passed those two men that had passed me. When I came around the corner the last twenty yards or so was downhill into the park where we had started and Kade was there with me ready to run with me, he always does this at races and it helps me go fast. As I turned the corner I saw the time was 1:05 something and I was shocked and so excited. I ran through in the 1:05 minute and just about passed out. I was thrilled to finish almost 7 minutes faster than I thought I would. I figured out that I ran 10.4 minute miles and I couldn't believe it. That is the fastest I have ever run. I loved that distance and hope to do it again soon. Brook did awesome too finishing 3 minutes before me. Thanks Kade for being there for us, you are the best!

Thistle
This year Brook and I were able to play on a full field outdoor soccer team. It was awesome. I hadn't played full field since high school. It was great to get to play my position. We started in April and it went until October, it was awesome to get to play that long and it helped my game a ton. I loved the team that we played on and I can't wait until next season. Yes our uniforms are awesome haha. Below is a picture at a party for the twins on our team that we went to on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and everyone looks so different in non soccer clothes :)
18 Months
I can't believe my baby is 18 months old. It flew by and I wish he would slow down. We went to his check up and he is doing awesome, 28% for height and 40% for weight. He is talking a lot and knows 50 words plus. He recognizes people in pictures, know animals and what they sound like, and now we are working on colors. A couple of weeks ago he asked to go to the potty. At first I thought he was just repeating what Mia was saying but yesterday he asked and went poo on the potty and he was so excited and so was I. I am not going to push this at all but I am excited that he has some interest in this. I was thinking he wouldn't for atleast a year and a half so this is great. Brooks loves to say daddy. He misses his daddy since he is gone during the week for work so he is always saying daddy. In all three of these pictures he is. In the top picture we are at Mia's dance hanging out. He loves going to the studio and climbing on the chairs, running around. He is pretty much the cutest thing ever. The next picture he was pushing Mia out of "her seat" and she started laughing, and in the last picture he wanted to sit on the potty so he was yelling daddy daddy so I sent it to Kade, he just looked so cute. I am such a lucky momma to have this cute, snuggly, boy in my life. I am also so proud of him he recognizes, ReAL and Utes and says GO... whatever team. He also knows the difference between football, baseball, and soccer, we are working on basketball. Love you Brooks thanks for making your mom and dad so happy :)
Fall Soccer 2012
Mia decided that she wanted to play soccer again this fall. She had a great time and even started "playing" towards the end of the season. I am so proud of her and her willingness to do anything. She is a determined little girl, no idea where she gets that from :) Her coach's name was John and she loved him. She also got to play with her friend Johnny, which was fun for me and Brook. I hope she continues to improve and get better because she is so dang cute to watch, her little legs just move.
She loved her trophy and treats the last game.
Mia and Johnny.
One game she thought sitting in the goal would be more fun than playing, funny girl.

First Field Trip to Wheeler Farm
Mia's preschool went on a field trip to Wheeler Farm and she had a blast. I loved watching her interact with her "school" friends as she calls them. This is her teacher Miss Karen who she loves. She didn't need me at all, her and the girls held hands, walked, talked, and sang together. It was adorable.

Chasing the ducks.
Cute kids in their shirts.

My little princess, I can't believe how old she is.

State Fair
I love going to the State Fair, this year was no exception :) We went and "worked" on the farm with the kids and they had a blast collecting, milking, planting, riding the tractor, and getting treats. I love how fun the ages they are at are. We also walked around and saw all the animals it is my favorite part. We saw a baby calf that had been born that morning, it was tiny and so adorable Mia about died. Mia loves anything baby (I wonder where she gets that from) haha. The people watching was at its prime, then we got a funnel cake to top off the evening. We had a fabulous time.
Smores
We went to Abby's for a smores party in her awesome fire pit in her backyard and the kids had a ball. Thanks Abby for being such an awesome aunt, the kids love you so much!

Preschool
I can't believe my baby went to preschool this year. My search for her preschool started about a year and a half ago. I toured over 10 preschools. I really wanted to be able to be a part of her preschool experience and where I work full time I had to make it work for her, Misty, and me. Luckily I found one and it has been going well so far. She is going to Sunshine Square Preschool and she absolutely loves it. It is between my work and Misty's house so I get to take and pick her up most days. This first day of school I was so nervous it was like I was going to my first day. I woke up at 5am to get myself ready so I would have time to get my little girl ready. I let Kade take her shopping for her first day of school outfit because he is the fashionable one, not me. I like what they picked out and Mia loves her shoes. We got up and I made her eggs, her favorite meal. Then we got ready, did her "princess" braid and got her dressed, luckily Brooks slept through the whole thing. Then we went and dropped him off and took her. She was so excited she could barely stand it. She had a meet the teacher meeting the week before and then a meet the class meeting and she had already made friends and was so excited to see them again. I dropped her off and she ran in. When I went to pick her up she was beaming and her teacher said she did great. It has been such a fun month to see her grow so much and she loves school and can't wait for Tuesday/Thursday to come around every week. I am so proud of my little princess I can barely stand it. I love you Miss Mia girl thanks for making every day worth living, you make your mom and dad so happy! We love you more than you know.
This is my favorite picture of her.
She wanted me to take a picture of her backpack (that she picked out by herself)
